We have all heard of the famous Deol family. While Dharmendra was not entirely happy with the family of prodigies, he decided to add yet another talented member to his family in 1956. This was the year a boy named Sunny Deol was born in the small village of Sahnewal in Punjab. The Deol family was happy to receive yet another actor in the line who would act in some of the blockbuster films of the Bollywood industry.

Deol made his official entry into the world of politics in the year 1983 with the romantic film Betaab. Little did he know that his first film would lead him to the stage of the Filmfare Awards. But this was not as he yet had to establish an image for himself that people could reckon with. It was in the year 1895 that he went to act in Rahul Rawail's Arjun. His stellar performance as an unemployed youngster with impeccable action sequences established his identity as an action hero of the industry.

People were yet to see the father-son duo in a film that would show. Acting according to the will of the audience, Sunny and Dharmendra formed a team and went ahead to act in Sultanat. During the final years of the twentieth century, Deol made his appearances in several hit films like Paap Ki Duniya, Dacait, and Yateem. His incredible performance was yet to hit the screens. Ghayal, a 1990 film, was produced by Dharmendra, and its plot, action sequences, and storyline was loved so much by the audience that it was declared a "blockbuster" by Box Office India.

From 1991 to 1997, Sunny acted in several hit films, all back to back. These films included Lootere, Ziddi, Darr, Jeet, Ghatak, and Border. Border was an amazingly directed war epic film that touched our souls. The movie came out well with a perfect amalgamation of love and war. When Sunny entered the millennium era, his first film Gadar set in the backdrop of partition, earned him much admiration from his fans.

In 2003, his fans saw him in Anil Sharma's The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. Starring other famous actors like Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, this film became the third highest-grossing film in the Bollywood industry. This film was counted as the most expensive, with a humongous budget of 600 million.

Since the audience wanted a Deol family reunion, Dharmendra, Sunny, and Bobby came together for a film Apne in 2007. This, too, was loved by the audience. But they were not yet satisfied. Thus, the Deols came up with yet another major hit film, Yamla Pagla Deewana. Sunny being a multi-talented man, lend his voice to the animated movie Mahabharata for the character of Bheem. Years later, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 was released, but it was a failure at the box office, and the audience didn't like it.

Sunny Deol has won many significant awards based on his best acting, including 2 National Awards for 'Ghayal' and 'Damini.' There is probably no other actor in India like Sunny Deol, whose face is his mirror, who has always stayed away from controversies in his long career, and who stays away from Bollywood's fake yet glamorous world. This nature of his makes him different from others. And last but not least, we wish him a birthday that's full of happiness.
