The year of classics
2022 is the year to revisit some of the classics of the cinema world. Some genre-defining movies are celebrating their 50 years of release this year. 1. Nosferatu,1992

Another classic in this list is Francis Ford Copolla's masterpiece, The Godfather. Based on Mario Puzo's novel of the same name, this mob thriller is widely recognised as one of the best films of all time. The Godfather will complete 50 years of its release in 2022. A genre-defining mob drama, The Godfather, follows the story of the Corleone crime family, headed by Don Vito Corleone and his son Micheal as he gets trapped in a world of betrayal and violence when he joins the family business. If you are a fan of heartwarming comedies and family drama, Bawarchi is the movie for you. Written by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and initially released in 1972, Bawarchi will also be celebrating 50 years of its release in 2022. Bawarchi follows the story of a joint family whose members have started to despise one another. However, things begin to change when, a bawarchi (cook) played by Rajesh Khanna accepts. to work for them He brings the family together. Still, everything is not as it seems, and it looks like he might have some ulterior motives of his own. Life is beautiful, or La vita è Bella, is an Italian comedy-drama film directed by and starring Roberto Benigni, and 2022 marks the 25 years of its release. Set during the holocaust, the movie follows a Jewish father-son duo. Benigni plays Guido Orefice, a Jewish-Italian bookshop owner, who uses his vivid imagination to protect his son from the horrors of imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp. The movie is heartwarming, funny, and tells a beautiful story of how far parents can go to protect their children. Life is beautiful is regarded as one of the greatest movies and holds a place in IMDB's top-rated movies list.
5. Princess Mononoke,1997
Another name in the list is an animated feature, Hayao Miyazaki's historical fantasy Princess Mononoke, released in 1997. Set in Japan around the late Muromachi era (about 1336 to 1573 CE), the narrative follows Ashitaka, a young Emishi prince, as he becomes embroiled in a battle between the gods of a forest and the people who use its resources. Mononoke is a Japanese word that refers to supernatural, shape-shifting entities who possess individuals and bring pain, sickness, or death. Princess Mononoke was a critical and commercial success at its release 25 years ago and held the title of highest-grossing film in Japan until Spirited Away, another Miyazaki feature, hit the theatre in 2001.
