Gautam Adani- A man who lived his dream

While being globally recognised among the top richest business tycoons of the world, Gautam Adani is a success story originally born on this day. It makes no compromises with one's ambitions when it comes to living a life, once dreamed of.

It takes an impervious inclination to follow one's dream with consistent dedication and enthusiasm to achieve it someday. Ahmedabad-based Gautam Shantilal Adani is not just the Adani Groups' founder, but a real-life inspiration to many young entrepreneurs who dare to dream big and own their ambitions, irrespective of their propensity.

He is not an example-setter or goal breaker, but just a young boy who was fascinated enough on a school trip to the bustling port of Kandla and dared to believe his vision that day and dream something that big, for himself.

Coming from a very humble background, Gautam's father was a textile merchant who remained the only breadwinner of the family in their early years. But he always saw a big picture determined to own a business and to make it big into the industrial sector. Having said that, this never stopped the young Adani to learn new things and face the challenges that may come, on his way.

In his prolonged journey of struggle and self-belief, he was indeed a visionary who made sure to build his empire to rule the world. At the age of 18, he dropped out of college and made it to Mumbai in 1978 with a limitless sky of dreams as hope and a light purse being a heavy curse. However, he managed to get into a jewel firm namely Mahindra Brothers, where he worked for almost 2 years.

With the experience and knowledge gained, he started his own brokerage firm in diamonds, at the drop of a dime. However, there was something even bigger written in the hands of fate.

It was in 1981 when his elder brother started a PVC firm and bought a plastic unit in Ahmedabad that carved its way to the gateway of global trading. From here, a row of opportunities building one after the other, led to the Adani Group establishment by 1988. Initially, they dealt in agricultural and power commodities but gradually entered the varied field of energy, logistics, aerospace, defense, textiles, metals, and resources among many others.

With the knack of handling every crisis with diligence, he surpassed every obstacle right from being kidnapped or surviving the 26/11 attack at Taj Hotel to bearing with competitive rivals and media condemnation.

Hence, being born on this day in 1962, Gautam Adani is a self-made billionaire and a competent industrialist from India who is now known to be one of the most powerful people in the whole of Asia. And as it's visible enough, it only requires one to believe in themselves and not to limit themselves surrounding their situations. Thereby, his journey was meant to only rise with this belief and became an inspiration for many to look upon.
