Indian audiences love a good potboiler cinema. Making a masala film not only includes a good number of songs and action-packed scenes but is also an art in itself catering to a certain section of the masses. Often underestimated, the actors too have to show their acting chops that are specifically suited for the sensibilities of the fun-loving Indian audience. Hence when S.S. Rajamouli’s blockbuster Eega came out, which was later remade as Makkhi, South Indian actor Sudeep had a huge responsibility on his shoulders to play the antagonist and bring out the desired reaction from the audience. The face of many such masala as well as critically acclaimed films, Sudeep Sanjeev enjoys wide popularity among his fans and followers. A celebrity who has worked primarily in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Cinema, he is affectionately called Kichcha Sudeepa.

Born on 2nd September 1971 in Karnataka’s Shivamogga, Sudeep was initially an Industrial and Production engineer. As it generally goes that engineers never remain in their respective fields, Sudeep too branched out into other options. Acting and cinema became his chosen destiny and Sudeep enrolled himself in the Roshan Taneja School of Acting in Mumbai. His debut film would be the 1997 Thavayya and soon several offers were in line.
