He kept eating without any restrictions and also without taking care of anything that would be affected by over-eating such as his health and his teeth. As a result of his love for food combined with his carelessness, he lost all his teeth at a very young age. Hence, he wasn't able to eat anything anymore without having the only tools to chew. As he was a Nawab, he ordered a dish to be prepared in such a way that he could eat it all he wanted without chewing.

The chef took this as a challenge and prepared a flavorsome kebab that the Nawab could eat even while being toothless. This is how the mouth-melting Shami Kebab was created.

Agreeably, the story does sound like a brilliant work of fiction although this is the legend behind how this dish was born and brought into the world.
