Comics have always been a huge part of popular culture. The Indian comic world is vibrant and creative with several fun characters. Be it magical wands or speaking monkeys, the world of Comics has forever been the most alluring to children and even adults. These characters have touched the soul of several individuals. People started relating the character’s life problems with their own.
The first one that comes to mind is Chacha Chowdhury. Chacha Chaudhary and Sabu are the ultimate combinations of brains and muscles. There is a popular saying in Hindi "Chacha Chaudhary ka dimag computer se bhi tez chalta hai '' which speaks about how intelligent he is. While his companion Sabu's size and strength could surpass the souped-up John Abraham. The combination of the two makes up an unbeatable duo.
Another popular character who was also famous on television for quite a while is Shaktiman. His origin was in comics. Shaktiman was India's answer to Western superheroes and he broke all barriers of conventionality. One of Tinkle's most beloved characters is Suppandi. Adventurous, boisterous, and fun-loving, it is no exaggeration to say that Suppandi is extremely popular. Speaking of relatable characters, it would be a complete injustice to this one whom Indians can in one way or another identify with Mussadhi Lal. Pankaj Kapoor's portrayal of a desperate commoner being abused by corrupt officials is the winner.
Speaking of relatable characters, Nagraj, at 6 feet 2 inches, is not a relatable character. Yet this blue-eyed superhero is the longest-running Indian action comic superhero. All kids are glued to his charismatic personality, curly hair and green suits, and a snake!
Doga is another character from the comics who is an anti-hero who communicates with dogs while Uncle Anu, one of the most popular parts of the Tinkle comic, Anu Uncle made science fun with interesting experiments and tricks.
Another famous character, Super Commando Druv, was born to a married couple who worked at the Jupiter Circus. Super Commando Druv is an Indian Batsman without superpowers. However, his acrobatic skills, martial arts training, and strength will make him far superior to Spider-Man.
While these characters are unique in their way, they are very different from modern-day cartoons like Chhota Bheem. Be it a superhero cartoon or a detective one, or simply some light-hearted fun!
