Shanti Devi & Lugdi Devi: 2 Bodies, 1 Soul

Will you believe us if we tell you about a lady who was reincarnated in India? Not only that, but the Father of Our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, publicly acknowledged that this rebirth tale is accurate. In India, there are thousands of rebirth stories. A daughter is born in Delhi Hindus. No one would be living proof of their views. A lady who made not just India's but the entire world's researchers and critics think.

Shanti Devi was born in Delhi on December 11, 1926. She couldn't talk for three years, but when she reached four, she began saying that the household she was staying in wasn't her own home. Her actual home is in Mathura, 160 kilometres from Delhi. It did not stop there. She also spoke to her parents about her spouse and kids from a previous life.

Shanti Devi stated that her husband, who resides in Mathura, has a clothing store. She began to refer to herself as Chaubain, which translates as Chaube's wife. Not only that, but she claimed to have had a kid and died 10 days after giving birth to it.

Every day, she would tell about an incident from her history. Not only that, but she also revealed three distinct characteristics about her husband. She said that her last spouse was fair, had a large mark on his left cheek, and wore spectacles. She also said that her spouse had a clothing store in Mathura, just in front of the Dwarikadhish Temple.

For over two years, she said things like this, which worried her parents. They were perplexed as to how a young girl can discuss such exact information and incidents. Because Shanti Devi had made similar assertions since she was a toddler, her school's Headmaster decided that he will go to Mathura and find the truth himself.

In Mathura, he found a businessman whose wife, Lugdi Devi, died 9 years ago, 10 days after giving birth to a kid. Not only that, but that businessman matched all three of Shanti Devi's identified distinct features. After observing each of these pieces of evidence through his own eyes, the headmaster decided to bring Kedar Nath Chaube and Shanti Devi together.

But there was one more little twist. Kedar Nath went to see Shanti Devi as his big brother. But Shanti Devi recognised not only Kedar Nath but also their son, Navneet Lal, who had accompanied him. Shanti Devi narrated all her events, from birth to death. With this, she recounted all of the operations she underwent until her death. After hearing all of this, everyone was stunned that such a young kid could describe all of the complex operations and procedures in such detail. To be certain, Kedar Nath Chaubre considered speaking with Shanti Devi alone.

Kedar Nath personally questioned Shanti Devi if she had arthritis in her previous life, which had caused her joints to become very weak. So, how did she become pregnant despite having this disease? Shanti Devi narrated the whole experience between Kedar Nath and her for this purpose. She then questioned him why he had married again when Kedar Nath and Shanti Devi decided that they will never marry someone else.

After hearing this, Kedar Nath was certain that Shanti Devi was his late wife Lugdi Devi. Shanti Devi's narrative was becoming so well-known that the media and other scholars were eager to report it. This quickly spread, and Mahatma Gandhi became aware of it.

Gandhiji, like the rest, was intrigued to see this woman. He met Shanti Devi, and after speaking with her, he formed a committee of 15 men to establish the reincarnation tale. There were numerous national leaders, media persons, and powerful individuals on this committee. This had now become major news, and the entire country was watching.

On November 15, 1935, these 15 men, together with Shanti Devi, travelled to Mathura. Shanti Devi quickly recognised an unfamiliar man and introduced him as her brother-in-law upon arriving at the station. Everyone on the committee was taken aback because that guy was Babu Ram Chaube, Kedar Nath's older brother. Shanti Devi then instructed a tanga driver on the route to her house from memory. She also mentioned all of the new alterations that had been done there. Just as she was about to return home, she went to seek blessings from an elderly guy in the throng. That elderly gentleman was her father-in-law.

Shanti Devi informed the group about a room on the second floor where she had hidden some money. When the group arrived at that location, they discovered a flower pot but no money. Shanti Devi was astonished when she saw this since she was certain she had kept the money there. She stressed to the group that they look for the cash carefully, and at the time, Kedar Nath admitted that following Lugdi Devi's death, he had removed all the money from there. This group reached its conclusion after observing these unspeakable incidents with their own eyes that Shanti Devi is Lugdi Devi's rebirth.

This story began to attract international notice once the board's report was published. Many parapsychologists and academics began to investigate this. Many individuals agreed with this, but many others disagreed.
