It is said agar *kisi cheez ko dil se chaho … to poori kainath use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.* Only you can make your destiny, only you can choose your destiny and only you can achieve what destiny holds in itself for you. If someone really wants to achieve something then there will be no obstacle that can stop that person. No matter the circumstances or situations, success would for sure kiss the feet of the person who works towards their goals.

A little boy was born in a Marwari family today in 1960. The young lad followed in the footsteps of his father and became interested in the stock market. Once in curiosity, the boy asked his father, "What is the stock market, papa?" Impressed by his younglings question, the father smiled back, left the work he was doing, turned and answered, "Understanding the stock market is not easy, you will have to read many newspapers daily, in which you will get details and information about many companies. We also need to understand the ups and downs of companies." 

Though it was presented as a complicated thing to do, nothing deterred the boy. The stock market had impressed him and this was to become his new home. 

> This was Rakesh's first lesson. He started taking interest in the stock market and started reading and collecting information to increase his knowledge. The lad had chosen his fate, his destiny with great integrity, only hard work was required now.

Gradually his interest in the stock market started increasing. Company after company he studied and read and gobbled their data like he was a computer. Once prepared enough, he went back to his father again and shared his ambition to work in the stock market. It is always impressive for parents to hear that their kids aspire towards something. Yet, the lad's studies were still in the middle and so the dream was declined and it was suggested that he should finish his professional studies before stepping into the market. 

The boy listened to his father's advice and after completing his graduation went on to become a Chartered Accountant. The studies were over, there was a handy job in hand and all other hurdles had been put aside. It was time to launch the newcomer in the market. It all began from the teeny-tiny amount of Rs. 5000 that he was carrying with him at that time to invest.

Struggles went on and the enthusiastic boy made his first profit in the year 1986. He bought 5000 shares of Tata Tea at Rs 43 per share. After 3 months he sold these shares at Rs 143 per share and made a profit of 5 lakhs. In the next 3 years, he earned Rs 25 lakh by buying and selling shares and achieved remarkable success!

> A turning point in his life came in 2002-03 when he bought 6 crore shares of Titan at Rs 3 per share and sold it at Rs 390 per share to make a huge profit of Rs 2100 crore.

"Markets are like women — always commanding, mysterious, unpredictable and volatile." These lines were said by a business tycoon, the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, whose story this is, the one who turned nothing into everything. From scratch to building an empire, making money like billionaires, this man has proved to the world that a sharp brain can make anything possible in this world, no matter the hurdles in the way.

It was not like he just played his cards and found success. There were more failures than there were successes. When he was climbing the ladder of the stock market, he fell many times. Yet, no one counts a thousand losses behind one success. He suffered a huge loss in December 2011 when the stocks of the companies he had invested in fell drastically. Money was only flowing out of the pocket, but with a strategic mind, he recovered from the loss in just 3 months. 

When the country was shifting from the old currency to the new one, lights went off for Jhunjhunwala but there was never complete darkness. Rakesh had the ability to find light in the darkest corners of the universe. 

When money assembles at a place in huge numbers, questioning eyes are raised, always. The stock market has its own secretive ways and Rakesh has been trapped in the charges of insider trading for a long time. No one knows the truth of the matter. 

> Whatever be the case, even after all the ups and downs, today Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's net worth is $460 crores. Rakesh follows a mantra, "Buy Right and Hold Right", which means buy the right stock and hold it with patience.

As of today, the man has turned 61, that child full of curiosity is now the king of the Indian stock market and is known as the Warren Buffett of India. A young man, who started his journey with just Rs 5000, has now reached a net worth of $ 4.6 billion.

Currently, he has the power to make the stock market dance on his fingers. He is the big bull who can create turmoil as he walks into the market and by keeping his hands on certain stocks while ignoring others. The prediction happens on his choice. Due to his perfect initial plans, today he is the 53rd richest person in the country.

While things might often look like good luck, kind destiny and privileges, none of this was true for the man who began his life with Rs. 5000 and turned it into Billions single-handedly. He had only three things in his pocket - the right strategy, perfect timing and patience.
