He has been conducting heritage and food walks both independently and for institutions for more than a decade now.In delhi, he covers mehrauli, siri, hauz khas, Tughlagabad, Nizamuddin, Lal Qila, Chandni chowk, Chawri Bazaar and sites of 1857 revolt. The walks are not limited to history or culture but can be seen as an attempt to introduce the participants to a bygone era.

Nitika Arora

As one of the Co-founders of Darwesh Heritage walks, Nitika is a History Heritage Cultural curator. Gaurav Sharma is a faculty at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi. His Heritage walks on different historical themes have been covered by BBC, NDTV, The HINDU, Hindustan Times, Scroll and various media platforms. Gaurav Sharma was born in 1987 and has been a lifelong Dilliwala. He grew up amidst the multilayered culture of Delhi. His long experience of researching on historical personalities lent him enough credentials to narrate historical events in a well researched/factual & storytelling manner.

Sohail Hashmi

Sohail Hashmi is an oral historian of Delhi, social activist, filmmaker and heritage conservationist. Hashmi conducts immersive Delhi Heritage Walks to introduce citizens, particularly children, to their city. In these walks, he incorporates the history of people, culture, food and architecture of Delhi. He won a Heritage Award from INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) Delhi Chapter in 2022 for his walks. Hashmi is the author of Sanchi: Where Tigers Fly, and Lions Have Horns. It is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India Series.

Ratnendu is a medical devices marketing professional, but discovered his love for history as he pottered around the many monuments of Delhi.
